Just found your blog, and have been enjoying some of your reviews. Still have a ways to go to get through everything, but I may try a few brands that I otherwise never would have, due to your positive reviews.
I find I often disagree with you on the photoshop test … you seem to give almost everything the same high grade when I just don’t agree … then the pizzas that to me look closer to the photo than most somehow get a lower grade. Weird. But for the most part, I can make my own decisions on that.
Have a suggestion of a pizza to try for you. Assuming you have Aldi in your area, I just tried a variety of Mama Cozzi pizza that I really liked. This one is priced around $3.29 for a pizza that is about the size and weight of a Totinos (perhaps an ounce or two heavier), but the toppings and flavors are in a class of their own. It is listed as something like a Sicillian flavor or something, with toppings of pepperoni, sausage and salami, and has very quickly become one of my fave frozen pizzas.
I’d guess it comes close to the fancy, high-end brands, yet only costs $3, so very economical for it’s type. Consider trying one and see what you think, and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for the feedback I really do appreciate it! I’ve learned a ton from trying the different brands as well. I’ll certainly pick up Mama Cozzi from Aldi and give it a shot. If it can’t compare to the 6/7 dollar pizzas for 3.29 I think we’ll have a hidden gem here!
